South Wellfleet has some lovely inlets that ebb and flow with the tides. This one now appears nearly full, as a lone sailboat sits anchored with its sail down. One of those Cape Cod houses that seem to stand sentinel among the lush wooded landscape is probably home to that boat's owner who may well be watching and waiting for the tide — if not the wind, too — for an afternoon's sail into the bay.
